The exhibition forms part of the celebrations of the 750th anniversary of the first written mention of Ostrava. Its four main panels present visitors with the history of the city in the Prehistory, Middle Ages and in the 19th and 20th century.
The panel on the city district Proskovice depicts important events and buildings related to the history of this city district. It remembers saint Florian, patron saint of the village, to whom the local chapel and church were dedicated. It also mentions societies that participated in the life of the village and reminds us of one of the best known natives, music teacher and choirmaster František Lýsek.
The opening of the exhibition takes place on 1 November 2017 at 5 pm.
The exhibition will be open to the public on weekdays from 5 pm to 6 pm.
